Job Posting: Rope Access Team Leader (Level 3)

Location: East San Francisco Bay Area
Focus: Petrochemical and related service locations
Pay Range: $27-35 per hour starting wage, depending on experience
Schedule: Full-time. Typical schedule is 40 hrs/week Monday-Thursday.

Overview
The Mistras Ropeworks Team is looking for a motivated and qualified Rope Access Team Leader (Level 3) to help support our growing rope access program in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Team Leaders will be required to actively lead field operations with fellow rope access technicians in several local petroleum refineries. On a broader scale, the Team Leader will have the opportunity to help grow and strengthen the business across a variety of customers and related industries. With demonstrated success, the Team Leader will be asked to take on more project management and administrative responsibilities and QA oversight of safety, customer service, equipment, and company policy/procedure compliance.

Important: The person holding this position is expected to maintain primary residence in the San Francisco Bay Area (or within reasonable commute distance).

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as a Level 3 Rope Access Supervisor as defined by SPRAT or IRATA and carry out project management and other administrative duties as required;

• Ensure Mistras / Ropeworks safety and professional standards are

consistently met;

• Take an active role in supporting the safety, quality and regulatory processes;
• Communicate and coordinate with Mistras project managers and customers to maintain consistent workflow and customer satisfaction;
• Manage the inspection and replacement of equipment, as well as other
logistical tasks associated with maintaining a sound state or readiness;

• Provide or arrange on-the-job training, mentoring and assessment of team

members;

• Support business development and help retain existing customer base.

 

Minimum Qualifications
• Level 3 SPRAT or IRATA Certified Rope Access Technician
• ASNT Level II certifications are preferred but not required
• Eligible for employment in the United States, based on citizenship or long-term work permit.
• Valid driver’s license, without restrictions

• Able to meet the company’s hiring standards

Professional Experience
• Demonstrated experience as a Rope Access Team Leader (Level 3)

• Solid technical skills as a rope access technician

• Computer / technology savvy with common software, email and communication platforms

• Experience and/or aptitude for working in the petrochemical industry preferred
• Inspection experience and certifications are desired.
