  W210- Safety at Height & Rescue for Wind Industry Trainers

W210 is a rigorous course designed to prepare wind industry trainers to deliver the W110 Safety at Height and Rescue Course. Effective teaching techniques along with safety and risk management procedures necessary for delivering group training will be covered. The course features a variety of rescue systems in order to provide trainers a broader understanding of equipment commonly used in wind turbines.

Trainers must successfully complete a thorough written and field assessment prior to receiving W210 certification. Successful candidates have the opportunity to license Skala training materials, presentations and certification cards. Annual trainer workshops (2 days) provide an opportunity to recertify, practice advanced rescue procedures, and get updates on safety protocol and equipment.

Pre-requisites: Prior experience training and a strong physical and mental aptitude for working at height is required. Candidates will be working while suspended from ropes for extended periods and asked to perform moderate to strenuous activities. Candidates must sign a Statement of Medical Condition confirming the absence of known medical conditions that might preclude their ability to safely work at height.
