Rope Access Training

We provide rope access training for SPRAT and/or IRATA certification. See our course calendar for upcoming course dates or contact us to inquire about booking a private course for your team.

When deciding which certification(s) to choose, and maintain, it’s important to look at both your current needs and future career aspirations. A few key items to consider are:

  • Where in the world would you like to work?
  • What are the certification requirements of the company you are interested in working with and/or subcontracted with?
  • What industry are you interested in? Wind? Oil and Gas? Structures? NDT? Etc.

More information about the two rope access associations can be found on their websites:

Both schemes provide three levels of certifications. The following documents outline the details about training and certification requirements:

Prerequisites for the Level 1 Certification
The minimum age requirement is 18 years. No previous rope access experience is necessary, however an appropriate physical and mental aptitude for technical tasks while working at height is important. Participants will be asked to perform moderate to strenuous activities. A physical examination by a doctor is strongly recommended. Candidates will be required to sign a Liability Release Form and a Statement of Medical Condition confirming the absence of known medical conditions that might preclude their ability to safely work at height.
